PATTERN: Spring green bag
YARN : The Wool Company Utiku Perendale
about 100gm each colour for both bags.
STARTED : Jan 3rd - 10th
Can't wait any longer for my RAOK gift receiver to post piccy so here goes.

I got Yarn and fell in love with the bag. I was intending to knit one myself when i got a chance.

My recipient fav colours were torqouise and green so I couldn't resist combing them for a super looking bag.

I made myself one with 20 less stitches in the round and 2 less repeats of the stripes.

I sent her also a facewasher and some lovely bodyshop soap and Africa spa cream. Her little girl recieved a book and baby recieve some little wooden toys.

I am praying that she like it all.

Feeling a tad creative ATM

I haven't sewn properly in years but got the urge to make Flynn some pants and shorts.

After finally getting to spotlight and picking up some stretch denim for $10 meter and some quilting cotton I managed to creative some great shorts and pants.

The pants were controversial in that Shaun thinks they are too girly but after much advice "they are not girly".

I just love how the shorts tuned out and really happy that I had the time to sit and make these.

My bird find

Even though i live in the country some things and I still don;t gel, I have never had to rescue an animal before and still don't think I would know what to do.

Well Wednesday night i came across this lovely little bird on the road, now I say little but it stood about 40cm high so not little really.

I was turning on the a road and in the middle of the road stood this bird, now I thought it was a baby "emu" so that just shows my skills doesn't it. It is actually a WHITE FACED HERON.

I got out the car cause it wasn't moving off the road and I had just taken the kids swimming so grabbed a towel, chucked it over the birds head and bundled it into the car.

Raced back to my friends house who is always rescuing animals to see what we could do. She offered to take it "thank god" but I offered to take it to a animal shelter place if need be.

She has been told to feed it cat food or puppy food and I think she has a life long friend now.

I am knitting honest

I really am.

I just finished a second pair of shorts for freinds DS whos hubby shrunk the first pair after one wear. I sent a note with them for Des

I am now onto some secret knitting so unable to share with you all until it is done. I think the recipent reads my blog so don't want to spoil the surprise.
