Hedera sock

I am doing these socks

but I tell you they are doing my head in. I frogged them 7 times and finally go them going. They are definatley not perfect and full of mistakes but I might use this sock as my practice and then frog it and do a real pair. Not too sure yet, I might be totally sick of them by the time I finish.

UPDATE 4/09/07
I have avoided these socks for 3 days and it is offical that they wouldn't fit my big feet , so last night I frogged them totally. Once I work out needle size i might try them again. Oh the joys to have small feet.

Knit, Felt, Felt, and more felting

I made this bag over two nights just to have a go at felting. Here is the pattern

Well it took more time to felt than to knit I think.

2 goes in the washing machine, my machine doesn't do hot water so I had to bucket it in, and i also tried to hand felt with boiling water but in the end it worked.

I thought it would be a good bag for one project things to carry around with

Tiger shorties ROAR

Now these were originally made as longies but I thought they were too small and frankly they weren't getting used so after putting them away for a while I decided to frog them, very heart breaking work but I did it.

Now I have just finished them as shorties and they look so good and so glad I did it .

First photo is the longies and now the shorties

What's in my knitting bag ?????

Scary stuff looking in there. I do need to get myself a nice new bag but haven't so just lug this one around the house and fill it up with everything.

Inside I have
1. Knitpicks- love them
2. Jo sharp yarn in forest green
3. KTog yarn knitted up into shorts that still need elastic
4. my pattern folder for all those patterns from the internet (so many)
5. All the other bits and pieces I seem to think i need in there.

Achillies heal socks

Got this wool the other week from Jolly Jumbuck but was too lazy to knit the 4ply so I am doing the strands together to get 8ply and a faster knit.

The colours remind me of Autumn and all the leaves changing

Two day hoodie -Done

Here is the completed hoodie I was working on. It took 2 days well not even two days but I spread it over two days.

Really simple and easy yet very funky.

Magic Magic -alls

Love them, what more can i say really, great fit and great everyday nappy.

Panda hoodie for my boy

After seeing a friend who is a very inexperienced knitter make a jumper from this pattern book and it was super fast i decided to make Flynn this hoodie vest. I am using Bendigo Rustic in Green Tweed in 12ply using 7mm needles. It gives a similar gauge.
I am being a bit lazy and doing the bottom body section in the round as I feel it is faster and then I will change to straights when i get to the arm shaping.

Yarn Fairy - Love your work

Got this exciting parcel in the mail yesterday and the yarn fairy knows what I like.

Gorgeous tones of green and blues. Couldn't of asked for a better colour design really.
