What sort of yarn are you???

Now this is the questions .

Well apparently I am a DISHCLOTH LOL. Not sure I like being a bit of old rag but the description is about right .

Here take the YARN TEST and let us know what you are

You are Dishcloth Cotton.
You are a very hard worker, most at home when you're at home. You are thrifty and seemingly born to clean. You are considered to be a Plain Jane, but you are too practical to notice.

Ok it is offical I am addicted

So just finished up load all stash photos to Raverly and I have an huge problem. 6.4kg of unused yarn. With another 1kg on the way.

Heres a few favourties that came this week.

Baabum sock yarn for the sock club from The Yarn collective.

Scary day ahead.

I have decided to crawl under my bed, in my wardrobe, under the dresser and bring out all the yarn i have been hoarding collecting.

I really do have a lot now and it is time to photograph it and add to Raverly so I know what i have and haven't got.

I have three orders coming so really have alot of yarn for someone who started only seriously 12months ago. I started knitting soakers and longies 2 years ago but only ventured into other items last year and started buying all sorts of wonderful yarn.

I seriously think I am addicted.

So this is todays project. The house is resonable clean, only washing to fold, Flynn will be out this afternoon and I am going to enjoy the day.

Off to find all the hidden stashes I think. (insert evil laugh) LOL

Naive socks with handdyed yarn

I dyed up some knittery 4ply the other day and chose this pattern Naive socks for it.

Love the socks but OMG the cable work is very intricate. I think this is the most detail i have done on an item.

Love how they are turning out and trying to make them within a week which would be nice.

Finished , but a wee mistake

Well I finished the Thuja and was super impressed with them and then I noticed the mistake. I made an error on the heal of the first one. I had some friends try them on who are size 9 and they said they couldn't tell the difference. They are for my mum and for bed so not really sure if the difference will be noticed. Just really annoyed at myself that i didn't notice it early then I couldn've fixed it as i went along.

Not your manly Thuja

This is the Thuja I am making from the yarn I dyed up the other day.

Very pink, very warm and very easy so a great first or 100th sock really.

This is my little boy in a big bed, Flynn really does have bed issue(love his cot) and has never slept in a big bed until last night and this is todays nap.

Dyeing days, chooks, and eggs

Saturday was dying day for me, I haven't dyed anything in ages so that was the day. The pink yarn I actually did two skeins of 4ply so I could do Thuja for my mum and the other is The knittery 4ply that I did for myself at some stage.

Had a busy weekend, Shaun finished the chook house so we now have two lovely ladies.

I decided on chooks cause I just don't want a dog at this point in time, cats kill wildlife (even though I do love cats) and I'm just not ready to have a inside pet again. Chooks mean the kids get some pets and we get eggs.

Shaun took all three kids to get the chooks on Saturday which gave me some time for housework and dyeing , which I haven't done in a long time.

The fodder store we got them from said "you won't get eggs for two weeks" but our girls gave us two yesterday but none today. BUGGER. But it was Shauns b-day yesterday so he had fresh eggs for breaky.
